#4 Cette Phrase.. Elle a Changé Ma Vie.

It's been a while! I haven't posted this week because there has been literally nothing to blog about, my daily routine has been get up, go to school, do two exams a day, go home, revise, go to sleep. which has continued for the past 5 days. 0_0 Well I *might* have cheated on that whole revise every night bit but the majority of it was like that xD

I've also really gotten into Twilight again xD Terrible, I know, but I just couldn't help myself! Once I get hooked you can't stop me until I have read every book and watched every film in order. (I did this exact same thing with Harry Potter last Summer which took me a lot longer to do!! Anyway right now I am about to start Breaking Dawn, I was up reading Eclipse yesterday for 6 hours - which should give you a good idea of how weirdly obsessed I can be when I have something to be obsessed about xD

I went to Chinese school today, I go there every Saturday to learn Mandarin, it was quite interesting, I learnt 新 年 好 which means happy new year, and now I know the mechanics of how to say a number in the ten thousands. Also a random fact that stuck with me is that foreigner in Chinese is wai guo, literally meaning outside country - pretty cool!

I made the grossest face mask ever this week, out of green tea, lemon juice, honey and crushed blueberries. I think it was the blueberries that made it so gross, and I can tell you for a fact that having crushed blueberry skin stuck to your face is not the most pleasant feeling in the world!

Perhaps next time I should take off the skin first 0_0

Take two and I tried another mask - this time made out of green tea, lemon juice and natural yogurt. It looked.. acceptable, and I know yogurt is good for your skin, so even though I absolutely despise the smell of it, I chanced it and slapped it onto my face.

I've got to say, it isn't that bad! Once you get over the smell of yogurt which personally reminds me of vomit, it is quite a soothing and cooling mask, my skin felt moisturized afterwards which is always a plus :)

Last but not least, a mask that I bought from the shop, what a difference! To be honest the only reason I bought this mask because its brand is exactly the same as my name, even the spelling which nearly everyone gets wrong first time xD

Amie Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask

Clay masks are really good for your skin, as it harden's it draws out all toxins and impurities - basically it sucks all the crap out of your skin. Another plus, my friend Laura said it smells like fruit pastels!!

I did something a bit stupid skinwise today, and poured lemon juice and sugar together, mixed it up and basically scrubbed my face off. It was like sandpaper!! You would think after realizing how much it hurt my skin that I would immediately wash it off my face, but no, for some reason beyond me I just kept scrubbing my nose and chin raw. At some point I must have come to my senses and washed everything off, but it was clear that the lemon juice had just stripped my skin off all moisture and my face looked like a tomato - great!

I knew that if the skin is stripped from moisture then it tried to produce excess sebum to make up for it, which causes blocked pores and breakouts so I decided to use my little nifty vitamin E kit.

I bought this at The Body Shop in a set for £25 which I thought was a pretty good deal. Their vitamin E range is absolutely perfect with it being very gentle and hydrating on the skin. In this set I have the cleanser, toner, and three moisturizers. Working from the top down we have the day cream, night cream and intense moisture cream.

After the lemon juice fiasco, I used the toner to balance the pH levels of my skin (it was probably much more acidic than normal!) then I used a mixture of the intense moisture cream and day cream to make up for all that moisture I stripped away. It actually worked!! The redness faded within half an hour and my skin felt really good, I felt as if the scrub had done a bit of a good job as well but even so, I doubt I will be trying that again in a hurry!

So that's the end of my face mask madness for today, I just thought I would quickly point out that I was eating organic tomato soup as I was writing this, and I thought that seeing as that was my first ever organic tin of soup that there would be some slight small difference? The colour or taste maybe.. but nothing! I know organic things are supposed to be better for you and all.. but there wasn't even the tiniest bit of difference what a let down.. :(

Anyway that's it for the bloggy blog blog! If you are wondering about the randomness of my title,  it's a quote from the funniest youtube video I have seen recently called Bref, Megaupload a fermé.

#3 Los Fantasmas No pueden Llorar

I was too tired last night to write a blog of my day - so this is a 2 in 1 jobbie :).

Friday's are same old same old at school, but I was unable to get to my first lesson so I went to apologize to my French teacher straight afterwards, had a bit of a rough day at school mucho crying and tearing up - I won't bore you with the details xD

My friend Fei downloaded a new app which allows you to create moving pictures that repeat themselves, we made one together of a heart, it's pretty cool actually if I can, I will try and put it on here. Fei and my other friend, Laura, tried to be clever my making cards with words on them and flicking through them as fast as they could to create some sort of moving message.. uhh what can I say? It completely failed - I swear at one point Laura actually frisbeed the card under the table or something?! That was such a funny lunchtime - I love you guys!

Later that evening my Mum and her partner had a huge row.. about bread. Something along the lines of no one bought any bread and so and so was complaining about this and that when so and so had been at work for the last 3 days.. uhh petty much? I thought it was such a funny argument that I had to escape to my car to just LMAO for a few minutes!

I took that opportunity to go to the hospital to visit my Gran who is currently residing there, but I didn't get to see her long before I had to leave (long story, but it generally sucks). Anyways by this point I was in a bit of a Mehh mood so I decided to pop in to my friends house, Fei and I had a really good talk and afterwards she loved dressing up as a marshmallow for me.. well I like to think she liked it, unfortunately her expression says otherwise!!

I only meant to pop round for 15 minutes for a quick chat but it turned into uhh 3 hours or so? I can't even remember what rubbish we chatted about - although I distinctly remember talking about shuai (hot) guys? Pahhaha :P

Fei and Yan's Mum bought them new matching pajamas, I remember how funny I thought it was when Yan said to Fei 'Hey let's be twins and wear them' I was like dude you're kind of already twins even without your pajamas.. They look sooooooo cute wearing matching outfits I haven't seen them wear the same outfits in years!

After spending the evening with them I felt thoroughly cheered up (thanks guys) and so I went to the pub to meet up with some other friends, well actually I meant to just pop in and stay for a quick couple of minutes and go off to bed, but my couple of minutes turned into a couple of hours.. ehh that has been happening a lot recently! I had a cheeky Bacardi and diet coke, which for some reason I don't know why I ordered because I wanted Malibu and coke but said Bacardi by mistake - ah well I will know to think before I order next time!

Someone decided to grab the Jenga blocks, at first it started with simple towers..

As the night progressed.. so did the towers!

I'm impressed! It took a lot of patience to keep trying at this, especially when the drunk friends kept pushing her attempts over! Nice one Emma :P

Moving to today! It's a Saturday so naturally I woke up at lunch time. I weighed myself as I have been calorie counting for 6 days now - with no weightloss!! Infuriating! As I result I was straight on the treadmill listening to Eminem (of course). Afterwards I felt a bit dizzy seeing as I hadn't consumed anything apart from green tea that day, so I made myself a tuna, rice tomato and cucumber salad, it was lush!

So, seeing as my exams start on Monday you would think I would be sitting down to revise round about now.. but no, what do I decide to do? Completely revamp my room! I have moved literally every piece of furniture in my room and it looks completely different! I like it - I even bought myself a new lamp to replace my broken one. I feel quite attached to my new lamp actually, I have realized it's my first ever piece of furniture I have bought as my own, it feels good!

I ♥ my lamp :D

So after avoiding revision for the entire day, I cooked a spicy tofu and minced meat dish with rice, it was sooo good! Of course my Mother criticized the tofu in my dinner, the soya milk in my coffee and the soya sauce I bought to cook with as they are all 'weird foods' and not 'normal' in her opinion. Clearly the sausage bacon egg beans and chips that she had for dinner is so much better for her.. 0_0

As it was about 10pm by the time I had cleared up, I decided there was no point revising because it was so late (urgh I am such a slacker with school work!) and I decided to watch a film instead - which can I just point out was a Spanish film called Volver - so technically revising Spanish? No? Meh.

The film was really interesting actually, but quite confusing and I would have a hard time explaining the plot here, I would probably go off on a tangent or something, but I really am glad I watched it - very cleverly made! The title of this blog is actually a quote from Volver, it means 'ghosts can't cry'.

Anyway I guess this is the end of my very long 2 in 1 blog!

P.S Oil splashed onto my arm :( - Ouch!

#2 'Wo Bu Yao Dou Sha'

Today was business as usual at school - we found out that our study leave SUCKS due to political issues with ofsted, which in effect means we have 5 days of study leave to revise for over 15 exams 0_0.

Lately I have been kind of addicted to reading the blog 'Chalk and Chopsticks' - link is at the bottom if you're interested. It's about two Canadian people who moved to Dalian in China for one year to teach English. It's really interesting to read all about China and how they are adjusting, I'm learning quite a lot actually and it's getting me really excited for when I go to China this summer with friends, not only that but we are going to Dalian too! Happy times :P

I learnt about the moon festival today, there is a legend in China of a woman called Chang E and her husband, Hou Yi. Apparently in ancient China there used to be 10 suns, which was bad for the country as it was drying up rivers and burning crops, so as Hou Yi was the only one strong enough, he shot down 9 of the suns with his arrow. As a reward for this the God's granted him the pill of immortality, however his wife, Chang E, stole the pill and took it for herself, which caused her to turn into a goddess, but as punishment for stealing the rest of the God's made her stay on the moon with only a rabbit for company. To this day she is supposedly still up there and on the 15th and 8th lunar day of the traditional Chinese calendar the moon looks particularly bright because that's the only times her husband can go and visit her.. - Well that is one version anyway!

After learning all about the legend I was all interested in random aspects of Chinese culture - so I bugged my Chinese friends for about half an hour asking persistent questions when they were trying to revise.. oops!

What Did I Learn Today?
- Chinese Legend
- How to say I don't want bean paste 'wo by yao dou sha'
- 'Tu vois/sais ce que je veux dire' You see what I am saying?

Did I learn anything from the 5 lessons I had today? Nada xD

When I got home Mum and Issie were making cakes together, super cute! They made a big lemon cake and muffins that taste.. interesting, once you rip them out of the cases xD

I decided to have a relax session with a nice hot bath, face mask (yes another one!) and a book - it was heaven! I don't normally have baths but when I do I spend ages in them (2 hours I believe tonight?). I bought Twilight on the kindle especially so I could get lost in the story, I haven't read Twilight for ages so I quite fancied a reread.

Before I end this, just thought I would quickly show my other face mask, this one is probably just as weird as the last one but at least this one comes in a bottle!

It's called Daiso Charcoal Mask, it's Japanese so I can't really tell you much else from the description - but I think it has charcoal components inside..

Basically you smooth it all over your skin...

Then about 15 minutes later when it's dry, you peel it off! It's like one of those nose strips that suck away all of the bad stuff in your skin, but for your whole face!

It's pretty cool if I am honest - and your skin feels really smooth and clean afterwards :)

Anyway I'm off, it's not almost 10:30pm and I still need to do my English homework! (I wonder if writing a blog in English could be considered English revision?.. )

P.S My funky green face mask from last night worked quite well! I think I might have put too much honey into it though I couldn't move my face once it had dried!!

#1 Starting Over..

Whoops! Look's like the whole blogging thing didn't work out - one post in two years? Epic Fail.

So let's start over! I am now eighteen years old, and currently finishing the IB Diploma, thank god for that, let's just say it has been much harder than I could have ever expected 0_0.. and there is still so much to dooo! But instead of doing my TOK essay, or any of that I wanted to start afresh with this whole blogging thing - the main reason for it? I just don't want to forget life! Being so stressed out with my workload at IB I forget to cherish all my memories with friends, it sucks!

Think about it, can you remember exactly what you were doing two weeks ago? I can't, and it scares me to think that one day when I am an old woman I will look back and what will I remember? Hardly anything! This is why I'm going to hopefully start blogging regularly, even if no one reads this at least I have my memories saved up for me to look back on as I please :)

Things Are Changing..
My friend dropped out of sixth form today, well technically last night, she came in today to say her goodbyes and return text books. It kind of sucks really, but I guess she was never really there in the first place (one of the reason's she was kicked out!). I'm still going to miss her though, even though we live so close together it will probably be exactly the same xD It's scary to think that's going to be me soon! Out of education, what am I going to do with my life?! Ahhh decisions :O

Today was rather fun though, amazingly I only had two lessons (two of them were cancelled) So I had TOK from 9-10am, then I didn't have another lesson until 2:15pm! So.. what do a group of eighteen year olds do when they find themselves with nothing to do for four hours? Revise? Do homework? Nope, drive to the shops and pig out on KFC!! It was absolutely fab. First we stopped off at Costa to get my daily medium soy latte (YUM) and Alicia's smoothie, although why she drinks a smoothie in this weather is beyond me! Then we lazed around munching chicken and chips (even though I am supposed to be counting my calories on 'My FitnessPal App' - 805 calories! Oops!).

After our 'snack', I drove us back to school - not forgetting the worst left reverse I have ever done probably in my life (I never managed to crack that one - how on earth did I pass my driving test?!). We got back just as lunchtime started, so Alicia dragged me round school to say goodbye to all her teachers (and random bits of paper stuck to walls) - oh joy.

When I got home from school, instead of what I had planned to do (something productive.. I think?) I ended up crashed out on the sofa watching Scooby Doo and Tracy Beaker with my 5 year old sister - good times (Y)

Well I guess this concludes my blog for today! Fingers crossed I actually manage to write another one tomorrow xD

P.S - I decided to make a face mask today out of this stuff..

I have absolutely no idea if any of these things will be useful for my skin - but I thought it would be a good idea to mix it all up.. Unfortunately it turned into green sludge xD

I guess I will try it anyway and see how it goes eh?
